looking for a role where you can develop your management experience without spending your entire working week on shift? We're recruiting for a
Deputy Manager
to join an established
2-bed children's residential home rated Good by Ofsted . This role offers a particularly attractive balance of approximately
50% shift work and 50% dedicated admin/management days , giving you protected time to support the Registered Manager with the effective running of the home. The Role Working closely with the Registered Manager, you'll help lead the staff team and maintain high standards of care, safeguarding and regulatory compliance. Your responsibilities will include: Leading and supporting the residential team
Taking responsibility for the home when the Registered Manager is absent
Safeguarding and promoting positive outcomes for young people
Supporting with care plans, risk assessments and placement documentation
Staff supervision, development and performance
Quality assurance and maintaining strong Ofsted standards
Working closely with social workers, families and other professionals
Leading shifts and remaining actively involved in the day-to-day care of young people
What We're Looking For You'll ideally have: Experience within an
Ofsted-registered children's home
Previous experience as a
Deputy Manager, Assistant Manager, Team Leader or experienced Senior
Level 3 in Residential Childcare
or equivalent
Good knowledge of safeguarding and Children's Homes Regulations
Experience leading shifts and supporting staff
Strong written, organisational and communication skills
A genuine commitment to achieving positive outcomes for young people
