HR Advisor Braintree & Thurrock, Essex Β£35,000βΒ£40,000 per annum, depending on experience Full-time | Permanent Multi-site role β School & Head Office Are you an experienced HR Advisor looking for a varied role where you can have a genuine impact across a growing organisation? We are recruiting for an HR Advisor to join a developing organisation within the education and care sector . This is a hands-on, generalist HR position working approximately 50% from a new school in Braintree and 50% from the Head Office in Thurrock . The role You'll work closely with managers and senior leaders, providing practical HR advice and support across the full employee lifecycle. Key responsibilities will include: Providing HR advice and guidance to managers Supporting disciplinaries, grievances, capability and performance matters Managing absence and attendance processes Supporting recruitment, onboarding and induction Advising on HR policies, procedures and employment legislation Preparing HR documentation and correspondence Maintaining accurate employee records and HR systems Supporting probation, appraisal and performance management Reviewing and developing HR policies and procedures Supporting safer recruitment and safeguarding compliance Contributing to wider HR projects as the organisation grows About you We're looking for an approachable and confident HR professional who can build strong relationships with managers while providing clear, commercially sensible advice. Ideally, you will have: Experience within an HR Advisor or similar generalist HR role Good knowledge of UK employment legislation Experience managing employee relations matters Strong communication and relationship-building skills Excellent organisation and attention to detail CIPD Level 3 or above , or equivalent experience The ability to travel between Braintree and Thurrock Experience within education, social care or another regulated environment would be advantageous but is not essential.
