Deputy Manager Childrens Residential Home

Salary: £34,840 to £35,360 + overtime (£17.75 per hour) + sleep ins (£50)

We are looking for a committed and proactive Deputy Manager to join a childrens residential home in Derby. Please note experience of working in an Ofsted regulated home is essential for this role. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced individual with a Level 3 qualification who is ready to step up, or an existing Deputy Manager looking for a more supportive and structured environment.
Deputy Manager Key Responsibilities:- Provide day to day leadership and support to Residential Support Workers and Team Leaders
- Support the Registered Manager in the running of the home
- Ensure the physical, emotional and social needs of young people are consistently met
- Take responsibility for safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
- Act as a role model on shift, bringing structure, consistency and direction
- Assist with care planning, risk assessments and behaviour management strategies
- Ensure all records and documentation are accurate, up to date and Ofsted ready
- Support the development and performance of staff within the home
- Experience working in an Ofsted regulated childrens residential setting is essential
- Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent
- Level 5 desirable or willingness to work towards
- Sound knowledge of safeguarding, Ofsted standards and relevant legislation
- Leadership qualities with a calm, resilient and supportive approach
- A strong commitment to achieving positive outcomes for young people
- £34,840 to £35,360 salary
