Salary: £34,840 to £35,360 + overtime (£17.75 per hour) + sleep ins (£50)

Do you have hands-on experience in an Ofsted regulated children's home and are you ready to step into a role where you are truly supported to lead? Are you already running shifts, supporting staff and making key decisions but not being recognised for it? We are looking for a committed and proactive Deputy Manager to join a children's residential home in Derby. Please note experience of working in an Ofsted regulated home is essential for this role.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced individual with a Level 3 qualification who is ready to step up, or an existing Deputy Manager looking for a more supportive and structured environment.

Deputy Manager Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide day-to-day leadership and support to Residential Support Workers and Team Leaders
  • Support the Registered Manager in the running of the home
  • Ensure the physical, emotional and social needs of young people are consistently met
  • Take responsibility for safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
  • Act as a role model on shift, bringing structure, consistency and direction
  • Assist with care planning, risk assessments and behaviour management strategies
  • Ensure all records and documentation are accurate, up to date and Ofsted ready
  • Support the development and performance of staff within the home
Deputy Manager Requirements:
  • Experience working in an Ofsted regulated children's residential setting is essential
  • Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent
  • Level 5 desirable or willingness to work towards
  • Sound knowledge of safeguarding, Ofsted standards and relevant legislation
  • Leadership qualities with a calm, resilient and supportive approach
  • A strong commitment to achieving positive outcomes for young people
