Are you a Teacher who believes building trust and confidence is just as important as academic progress? We're recruiting a passionate SEND Teacher to join a specialist school supporting children and young people with a range of needs including autism, ADHD, SEMH, communication needs and complex needs. You'll have the freedom to adapt your teaching and create personalised learning that genuinely works for each young person.

The Role

  • Planning and delivering engaging, personalised lessons
  • Working towards individual EHCP outcomes
  • Adapting learning for different abilities, communication styles and sensory needs
  • Supporting emotional regulation, confidence and independence
  • Monitoring progress and contributing to EHCP reviews
  • Creating a calm, nurturing and inclusive classroom
  • Working closely with Teaching Assistants, therapists, families and other professionals
  • Using positive, needs-led approaches to behaviour and engagement

What We're Looking For

  • QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
  • Experience working with children or young people with SEND
  • Understanding of EHCPs and personalised learning
  • Good knowledge of safeguarding and the SEND Code of Practice
  • A calm, creative and adaptable teaching style
  • Confidence supporting pupils with differing communication, emotional and sensory needs
  • Experience within a specialist SEND, SEMH or alternative provision would be particularly welcomed.
