We’re looking for enthusiastic, confident and customer-focused individuals to become Visitor Experience Trailer Drivers, leading our brand-new (Landrover) Estate Safari Tours this summer.
This is a unique opportunity to showcase the beauty of Harewood’s historic parkland while creating memorable experiences for visitors of all ages. You’ll safely drive our purpose-built passenger trailer around the Estate, sharing fascinating stories about Harewood’s history, wildlife, farming, conservation and sustainability through a scripted guided tour.

What you’ll be doing
As a Visitor Experience Trailer Driver, you will:
- Safely drive the safari vehicle and tow the passenger trailer around the Harewood Estate.
- Deliver an engaging scripted commentary throughout each tour.
- Welcome visitors and provide excellent customer service throughout their experience.
- Carry out daily vehicle and trailer safety checks before and after tours.
- Hitch and unhitch the passenger trailer safely.
- Ensure tours run safely and to schedule.
- Report any incidents or maintenance concerns promptly.
- Follow all Harewood House Trust policies, procedures and health and safety requirements.
About you
We’re looking for someone who has:
- A category B&E driving licence
- Excellent customer service skills in a public-facing role.
- A friendly, confident and approachable manner.
- Strong communication skills and a good standard of spoken English.
- A positive attitude and the ability to work well within a team.
- Good problem-solving skills and the confidence to engage with visitors.
- A commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion.
- Availability to work Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays during the contract period.
The tours will run from the 23rd July to the 5th September and there will be 4 tours a day, lasting 45 minutes each. For example if you were working a full day, you would start at 9.30 am and finish at 3.30pm, however we have a variety of hours available during the week.
Tours will run on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays.
There is also the opportunity to work further hours as we expand our Estate Safari Tours over the summer.
