Harewood House Trust is seeking an experienced Audience Research Consultant to help us understand our current and potential audiences and shape the future visitor experience at Harewood. As part of Reimagining Harewood, supported by The National Lottery Heritage Fund, we are planning to transform the visitor arrival experience, restoring the Grade II listed Bakehouse as a new visitor centre, improving routes and interpretation, and reconnecting visitors with Harewood’s landscape and heritage. We’re looking for a consultant with strong experience in heritage or cultural audience research to: Responsibilities Establish an audience baseline and identify priority audiences. Understand visitor motivations, barriers, satisfaction and loyalty. Research current, lapsed and non-visitors, including underrepresented audiences. Explore opportunities around admissions, membership, programming and visitor income. Identify how the new Bakehouse and landscape offer can attract and engage audiences. Turn research into practical recommendations, measures and an audience framework that can inform project delivery and our Heritage Fund Delivery Phase application. We’re particularly interested in experience of The National Lottery Heritage Fund projects, capital developments, non-visitor research, audience diversification, pricing and membership.
