We are seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician for our top of the range, newly fitted state-of-the-art garage! You will have the space and freedom to work alone (assistance will be provided when required). You will need the skills and ability to diagnose and repair a variety of vehicles.

Duties

  • Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify issues and determine necessary repairs.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, tyre rotations, and brake inspections.
  • Diagnose mechanical problems using diagnostic equipment and tools.
  • Repair or replace defective parts, components, or systems as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of repairs, services performed, and parts used.

Requirements

  • Very good mechanical knowledge (can change timing chains, engine replacement, clutch replacements, servicing + following PDI checks).
  • Good knowledge of Land Rovers.
  • Confident with different manufacturers.
  • Ability to change timing belts and wet belts on different manufacturers (Ford, Peugeot, VW etc).
  • Fault finding and diagnosing issues correctly.
  • Comfortable with rebuilding engines.
  • Have your own small tools (large tools provided).
  • Able to work on your own at times.
  • Electrical repair knowledge is desirable but not essential.

  • Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with colleagues and clients.
  • Relevant qualifications or certifications in automotive technology or mechanics are advantageous.
  • A valid driving licence is required.
