The role
As Tax Senior, you’ll manage a portfolio of personal tax clients and act as a trusted point of contact, delivering accurate, timely and practical advice.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing a portfolio of personal tax clients
- Preparing and reviewing personal and trust tax returns
- Ensuring HMRC filing and payment deadlines are met
- Providing tax planning advice and identifying tax-saving opportunities
- Liaising with HMRC on client enquiries and compliance matters
- Supporting clients with tax investigations and enquiries
- Assisting managers with complex tax advisory projects
- Monitoring changes in tax legislation and sharing relevant updates
- Building and maintaining strong, long-term client relationships
About you
You’ll have at least two years’ experience preparing tax returns and be confident communicating with both clients and colleagues.
We’re looking for someone who is:
- Organised and detail-focused
- Diligent and deadline-driven
- Comfortable managing a varied client portfolio
- Confident communicating complex information clearly
- Proactive, approachable and committed to excellent client service
Formal qualifications are not essential, although ACCA, ACA or ATT part-qualified candidates are particularly welcome.
What we offer
- £30,000–£40,000 salary, depending on experience
- Hybrid working options
- Flexible working hours
- 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday
- Core hours of 10:00 am–4:00 pm
