  • Acting as a key holder, ensuring the security of the premises and coordinating with the Headteacher and Finance Manager.

  • Carrying out general maintenance tasks across the site, including repairs, and upkeep.
  • Assisting in meeting health and safety requirements, including regular checks for fire safety, Legionella, COSHH, and other statutory requirements.
  • Ensuring the school remains clean, safe, and secure for pupils, staff, and visitors.
  • Collaborating with the Senior Leadership Team to ensure the smooth running of the school\'s premises.
  • Undertake other extraneous duties as required.
  • Manage a small team of cleaning staff and undertake maintenance, repairs of the building and grounds.
  • Undertake minor repairs and maintenance on an \'as and when necessary basis\' to enable the school to be maintained in a state of good repair.
  • Ensure that the school site is secure each evening, including closing windows, locking doors and gates, and setting of the alarm.
  • Carry out routine testing and monitoring of alarms, water temperatures / Legionella, play equipment and school minibus.
  • Carry out emergency repairs where possible or contact the appropriate contractor.
