Hardwick and Cambourne Community Primary School are looking for an enthusiastic, hard-working and reliable Site Officer who will play a vital role in creating and maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for everyone in our school community. You will have a strong work ethic and be driven to maintain our school site to the highest standard.
Responsibilities:
- Security of buildings, including securing the school site at the end of the day
- General routine maintenance, undertaking minor repairs for which general handyman skills are essential
- Arrange routine and statutory testing to ensure compliance with all statutory requirements
- Compliance with Health and Safety regulations, IOSH certified or willing to undertake training
- Liaise with contractors, monitor contracts and ensure they adhere to rules around the school
- Carry out porterage and event set up
- Unlock and lock the school outside of core hours to facilitate lettings
- Undertake other duties as referenced in the job description
Qualifications:
To succeed in this role, you will need to be positive, self-motivated, able to work both independently and as part of a team and in a proactive manner. You will also need to have an understanding of IT and the ability to learn about systems related to running the school, including heating, security, and fire alarm systems.
