Hardmans Solicitors is looking to recruit an experienced, organised and friendly Legal Secretary to join our established team in Deal. This is an exciting opportunity to provide dedicated secretarial and administrative support to one of our Partners, who specialises in Private Client and Residential and Commercial Conveyancing matters. The role is ideally suited to someone who enjoys working in a busy legal environment, has excellent organisational skills and takes pride in delivering a high standard of client care.

Key Responsibilities- Providing dedicated secretarial and administrative support to a Partner.
- Digital audio and copy typing of legal correspondence, documents and reports.
- Preparing legal documentation and maintaining client files.
- Managing diaries, appointments and meetings.
- Answering telephone calls and dealing with client enquiries professionally and efficiently.
- Liaising with clients, estate agents, financial advisers and other third parties.
- Opening and closing files and ensuring accurate record keeping.
- Using the LEAP Case Management System to manage matters and maintain files.
- Assisting with all aspects of Private Client and Residential Conveyancing administration.
- Providing general administrative support to ensure the smooth running of the department.
The successful applicant will have:
- Previous experience as a Legal Secretary, with experience in both Conveyancing and Private Client.
- Essential experience using the LEAP Case Management System.
- Excellent typing and IT skills with a high level of accuracy.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise a busy workload.
- Excellent communication and client care skills.
- A professional, friendly and approachable manner.
- The ability to work independently whilst also contributing positively to the wider team.
- A proactive approach and keen attention to detail.
- Competitive salary of £25,500 – £27,000 per annum, depending on experience.
- Full-time permanent position (35 hours per week).
- Monday to Friday working hours with no weekend work.
