We are seeking an experienced QSHE Manager to lead our Quality, Safety, Health and Environmental activities across our UK and US operations. In this key role, you will manage our QMS and EMS, drive continuous improvement, ensure compliance with customer and certification requirements, and promote a safe, efficient, and environmentally responsible workplace.

Hardide is a growing technology-based company, which develops, manufactures and applies nanostructured tungsten carbide coatings to a wide range of engineering components. The Group's patented CVD technology is unique in combining abrasion, erosion and corrosion resistant properties in one coating. When applied to metal components used in aggressive environments, the technology provides dramatic improvements in component life resulting in cost savings through reduced downtime and increased operational efficiency. Customers include leading companies operating in oil and gas exploration and production, valve and pump manufacturing, nuclear, advanced engineering and aerospace industries.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the QMS and EMS, ensuring compliance with certification and customer requirements.
- Support quality assurance through effective procedures, audits, calibration control, and KPI reporting.
- Drive continuous improvement through data analysis, root cause activity, and corrective/preventive action leadership.
- Lead HSE programmes including risk assessments, incident investigations, workplace inspections, and regulatory compliance.
- Act as the primary point of contact for HSE matters with regulatory bodies, clients, and senior leadership.
- Promote a strong QSHE culture and support 5S practices across the organisation.
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret process, customer, and QSHE performance data.
- High computer literacy, including confident use of spreadsheets and digital reporting tools.
- Solid understanding of health, safety, and environmental requirements in a high-risk environment.
- Excellent communication and teamwork, with the ability to influence at all levels.
- Proven Quality Systems Management experience, ideally within aerospace or advanced manufacturing.
- Essential knowledge of AS9100 and NADCAP; working knowledge of ISO 14001 (ISO 45001 an advantage).
- Practical HSE risk management experience, including risk assessments and incident investigations.
- Ability to manage integrated QSHE systems and ensure compliance through effective auditing and documentation control.
