Overview
We are looking to recruit a skilled CNC Miller / Programmer to join a growing team in Leicester. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established company within the general engineering sector. The ideal candidate will have strong experience programming, setting, and operating CNC milling machines and be confident working independently.
Key Responsibilities
- Program, set, and operate CNC milling machines (Heidenhain controls)
- Produce high-quality components in line with technical drawings
- Edit and optimise programs to improve efficiency and accuracy
- Monitor machining processes to ensure consistency and quality
- Carry out troubleshooting and problem-solving where required
- Maintain a safe and organised working environment
Requirements
- Proven experience as a CNC Miller / Programmer
- Strong knowledge of Heidenhain controls
- Ability to programme from scratch at the machine
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Confident working independently with minimal supervision
- High attention to detail and quality standards
Desirable (Not Essential)
- Experience with offline programming software
- Experience working with a variety of engineering materials
