Associate Director/Technical Director Climate Change and Sustainability Various UK locations/remote possible for right person We are seeking an experienced carbon, climate change and sustainability professional at Associate Director or Technical Director to join a growing climate change team. The company is a leading independent environmental consultancy, underpinned by a growing team of experts in environmental policy, strategy, design, and assessment. The Role The core of the work focusses on the assessment of carbon (greenhouse gas) and climate change impacts of projects in a wide range of sectors including renewable energy, transport, infrastructure, industry and property (both residential and commercial). They work with developers, designers, engineers and planners to ensure each new development minimises its greenhouse emissions, supports the transition to Net Zero and is resilient and adaptable to future climate change impacts. They assess carbon and climate change impacts as part of Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA) for development projects including major Development Consent Order (DCO) schemes. As a significant proportion of their work involves preparing greenhouse gas and climate change risk and resilience assessments as part of the EIA process, experience leading and delivering these assessments will be central to this role.
