A leading mid-sized consultancy within the water and utilities sector is seeking an experienced business development professional to take a leading role in developing business with old and new clients alike while also managing those same relationships across the sales function. Your target areas will be both within and outside of existing client frameworks. Operating across the South of England, the role will be home based but you must have your own transport and be happy to travel to clients' offices/sites within the UK when required. Given the attractive salary on offer, you will need to have a water or wider utilities background with experience in a similar role and the ability to hit the ground running.
Objectives:
- Generate sustainable revenue streams across new and existing client & partner base.
- Aim to secure strategic partner status with clients & partners by enhancing reputations with clients, partners and supply chain, and securing high client satisfaction scores.
- Increase bid success levels through client positioning and intelligence, developing relevant partnerships and securing new revenue streams (new frameworks).
- Deliver market, client, and supply chain insight and play an active role in internal decision-making.
- Contribute to and manage account plans and CRM pipeline.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Management, Engineering, Science, or associated technical discipline preferred.
- Strong project management, organisational, and delegation skills.
- Excellent communication, report writing, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Microsoft CoPilot, and other relevant software.
- Full UK driving license as travel throughout the UK will be required.
