Position location: London, UK

Team & Workflow Management: Manage a team of Global HR Specialists, establishing operational workflows, setting standard operating procedures (SOPs), and defining KPIs to ensure the team executes regional payrolls with flawless accuracy.

Process Optimization & Scaling: Continuously audit existing payroll workflows to eliminate manual bottlenecks. Standardize and automate processes across all global entities to create a highly repeatable and scalable payroll infrastructure.

Global Scale & Execution: Oversee the monthly end‑to‑end payroll operations executed by your team for Aircall’s international entities (including France, US, Spain, Germany, Australia, and remote via EOR). Oversee the employee lifecycle from onboarding to exits.

Compliance Governance: Serve as the authority on global payroll tax laws, local statutory benefits, and strict compliance frameworks. Embed compliance checkpoints directly into the team’s daily and monthly workflows.

Modern Tech Stack Management: Maintain and optimize our automated HRIS‑to‑Payroll tech pipeline. Ensure flawless integrations between tools like BambooHR and NetSuite, minimizing manual data entry and human error.

Vendor & EOR Governance: Audit and manage performance SLAs for our global payroll providers and Employer of Record (EOR) partners (e.g., Papaya, Remote.com) to support rapid market expansion without friction.

Audit & Internal Controls: Protect the company’s financial integrity by contributing to statutory audits, year‑end filings, and ensuring strict internal financial controls and data privacy (GDPR) compliance.

Qualifications

Experience: 7+ years in global payroll management, with a proven track record of managing a payroll team. Must have experience within a fast‑scaling tech startup, SaaS company, or a global workspace.

Lifecycle & Legal Literacy: Strong conceptual understanding of the global employee lifecycle, including international employment laws, visa/mobility restrictions, and localized benefits management.

Process Architecture: Strong expertise in business process mapping, creating payroll SOPs, and implementing internal controls/checklists to ensure zero‑error execution.

Cross‑Border Expertise: Hands‑on experience navigating international payroll landscapes, specifically addressing the differences between US tech payroll and Western European (e.g., French/Spanish) labor laws and compliance.

SaaS Equity Knowledge: Strong understanding of global equity‑based compensation taxation (e.g., French BSPCE, US RSUs/NSOs).

Tech‑Savvy Skillset: High level of comfort with modern SaaS tools and AI tools. Experience with BambooHR, NetSuite, and global payroll platforms is highly preferred. Excel/data analytics skills.

Leadership style: Results‑oriented leader who excels at operational excellence, task delegation, and managing team performance through data, processes, and accountability.

£70,000 - £80,000 a year. This is not including an annual bonus and other benefits. The actual salary offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, and experience.
