Our brands include Hard To Find Whisky, Hard To Find Hi-Fi and Hard To Find Records, with a large online catalogue, significant marketplace presence and a strong reputation for customer service and operational excellence. Our ecommerce operation is highly integrated and fast moving, with a continual focus on performance, automation and improvement across both customer experience and internal systems.
We are looking for an experienced Full-Stack Magento 2 Developer to join our in-house development team at our Birmingham Jewellery Quarter head office. This role is suited to someone who enjoys solving complex ecommerce challenges, working across both frontend and backend systems and contributing directly to a growing ecommerce operation.
- Magento 2 frontend and backend development
- Theme customisation and frontend improvements
- Website performance optimisation and troubleshooting
- Supporting technical SEO improvements including site structure, page speed, indexing, schema markup and Core Web Vitals
- Contributing to ongoing platform improvements and future technical projects
- Strong commercial Magento 2 experience
- Strong proficiency in PHP, MySQL, OOP and Magento’s ORM
- Experience integrating frontend applications with REST APIs
- Familiarity with Composer packaging system
- Good understanding of Linux-based hosting environments including Apache and NGINX
- Understanding of technical SEO principles within large ecommerce websites
- Experience with Android development using Kotlin
- Experience with Windows application development using C#
