Job Description:
Under the direction of the Director/Manager of Facilities, the incumbent supervises all the public space employees that maintain and clean the public and employee areas within the facility.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Assists with the inspection program for consistent maintenance
- Ensures all safety policies and procedures are followed
- In charge of scheduling for all public space employees
- Promotes positive guest relations at all times
- Make any needed improvements on the property
- Develop team(s) and plan of action when tasks need completed
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma/GED
- Minimum 2 years experience in housekeeping or environmental services supervisory experience
- Knowledge of MSDS of all chemicals used in the cleaning process
- Must be highly organized and detail oriented
- Must possess the ability to take charge
- Must have good written and oral communication skills (Bilingual skills are desired)
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Word/Excel
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
May be exposed to casino related environmental factors including, but not limited to: second hand smoke, excessive noise, and constant interaction with the general public. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms, talk or hear; and taste or smell. The employee must frequently lift and/or move 25 pounds or more. Specific vision abilities that may be required by this job include close, distance, colour, and peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. The work environment characteristics described here may be representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The Casino environment is hectic, fast-paced and often crowded and noisy.
