Job Description:
POSITION SUMMARY: The Barista is responsible for providing an exceptional guest experience by providing prompt service, quality beverages and products, and maintaining a clean and comfortable environment. The Barista adheres to Hard Rock’s guiding Principles and Amplified Service Standards.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Creates a positive atmosphere.
- Responsible for actively building and retaining guest relations and acts as a mentor to team members to provide superior guest service.
- Provides information on all aspects of Hard Rock services and facilities to guests.
- Quotes accurate waiting times and handles waiting guests in accordance with Hard Rock’s service standards.
- Responsible for the pickup, countdown and return of cash bank from miscellaneous count.
- Maintains accurate cash balance and handles money in a secure manner according to established standards.
- Responsible for maintaining dining room cleanliness including bussing tables and sweeping floor.
- Attend and participate in meetings, completing follow-up as assigned.
- Perform work regularly and predictably.
- Other duties as assigned.
ADDITIONAL DUTIES:
- High School Diploma or equivalent with a minimum of 6 months experience in high volume food service, or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must be able to communicate effectively with guests in English, specific to position duties and responsibilities.
- Must present an image of excitement, enthusiasm, and outgoing personality, while being able to project a professional appearance.
- Must possess basic math skills to include ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide specific to position responsibilities, balance cash drawer.
- Must have 10-key adding machine experience.
- Must be detail oriented.
- Must possess good guest service skills.
- Must be able to work in a smoking environment.
- Able to lift up to 25lbs.
