The platform powers wellbeing programs in 1,000 schools across 25 countries, supporting millions of students. The company has completed three consecutive years of 100% growth and is founder-led and profitable.### The roleWellio is hiring a Senior Product Designer to be the designer on one of its product squads. The company runs Shape Up, with six-week build cycles and small squads where a PM, designer, engineers and content people own one outcome together. Design at Wellio is a single role covering research, shaping, interface design and front-end build. Designers own the design system and, alongside Figma, work directly in the codebase. The role reports into a squad structure alongside a PM and engineers.### What you would do* Take features from shaping to shipped, owning the design process end to end with your squad's PM and engineers.* Design complete experiences, from rough sketches to pixel-perfect interfaces.* Build your designs in the codebase using AI tools and ship front-end changes without a handoff.* Check your code with AI review tools, then pair with engineers through code review and on technical constraints.* Contribute patterns to a design system that scales across the platform.* Give AI the context, components and constraints to produce output that looks and works like Wellio, and share what works with the rest of the team.* Observe teachers and students using the product in real classrooms, run user interviews, and put working prototypes in front of users before committing to building.* Use PostHog and session recordings to identify where users get stuck, and turn those insights into clear design principles and interface patterns.* Write clear interface copy and work with the content team to keep messaging consistent.* Shape pitches live with your PM and engineers, present work at the betting table, and create materials that help sales and customer success communicate the product's value.* Mentor others on design thinking and user-centred approaches.### What they are looking for* 4+ years of product design experience with a track record of shipping successful B2B SaaS products.* Full-stack design skills: you take designs from concept to production yourself and are comfortable working in a codebase using AI coding tools to build and ship front-end work.* An AI-native workflow: you already use AI tools day to day and understand where they help and where they fall short.* Strong visual and interaction design skills, with the ability to create interfaces that are both well-crafted and highly functional.* Experience in user research and testing, turning insights from real users into better design decisions.* Excellent writing skills, with an understanding that words are part of the design.* Systems thinking: you can design individual features while building and maintaining consistent design systems that scale.* A collaborative mindset, working well with engineering, product and content teams.* Strong problem-solving skills: you can identify user problems, break them down, and work toward clear solutions.### Working arrangementsThe role is listed as remote (any location), with bases in London, Amsterdam, Sydney and Melbourne. The team comes together for two in-person meetups per year.### Pay and benefits€92,000 – €111,000 per year.## DetailsLocation: London, UKOn-site or remote: RemoteSalary: €92,000 – €111,000Sector: EducationRole: Product designSeniority: SeniorOrganisation: For-profitThis job is listed on the Hard Problems job board, but details come from the employer’s own listing and may have changed — always check the original posting. #J-18808-Ljbffr
