It operates as part of NHS Scotland and works across a range of health, social care and commercial communications.
The role
This is a hands-on creative position within the Marketing and Visual Communications (MVC) team, a small in-house studio. The role supports both core NHS health communications and commercial activity, contributing to the Head of Service's delivery of external partnerships and marketing opportunities. Regular on-site working is required, including collaborative studio work and activity across NHS Grampian locations such as filming, photography and production shoots.

- Apply design thinking to communication challenges, finding the most effective visual approach for each audience.
- Develop design projects that make an impact on health and wellbeing while meeting accessibility and brand standards.
- Work with colleagues, clinicians and partners to bring campaigns to life.
- Work flexibly across studio and NHS Grampian locations, including on-location creative activity.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high creative standards.
- Contribute design assets and creative solutions that support commercial growth and external partnerships.
What they are looking for
- A recognised degree, HND or equivalent design qualification (essential).
- Confident use of Adobe Creative Cloud and other professional applications across print and digital design.
- Skills in motion graphics and/or film production.
- Ability to think creatively and solve communication problems through design, not just visual styling.
- Ability to work under pressure, adapt quickly and keep projects moving.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to balance multiple priorities.
- A collaborative approach, able to work well in a small team and independently when needed.
- A portfolio demonstrating graphic design work across print and digital formats, with evidence of motion graphics and/or film capability.
