We are recruiting for a Front of House person who shares our vision to be trusted to provide outstanding kind, caring and compassionate service to our patients. This role offers variety, challenge, and the opportunity to contribute directly to patient care by ensuring the smooth and efficient coordination of our services.
Main duties of the job:
- Process personal, telephone and e-mail requests
- Signpost patients to the correct service
- Process incoming and outgoing mail
- Process recall audits
- Read code data on the clinical system
- File and store records as required
- Data entry of new and temporary registrations and relevant patient information as required
- Support all clinical staff with general tasks as requested
About us:
We are a GP Practice in Salisbury always looking to provide the best care to our patients. We are a friendly team of 5 GP partners, 8 salaried GPs, 3 Practice nurses and 2 HCAs. The total list size of our practice is 13,000 (and rising) patients, with mixed demographics. There is excellent support from a multi-disciplinary team of Social Prescribers, Pharmacy team and administrators. The computer system is SystmOne.
Job responsibilities:
- To work with our existing team assisting with the smooth running of the practice.
- To be part of the development and implementing of practice high standards and reviewing procedures.
- To act as front of house receptionist, greeting patients and their carers/relatives.
- To use the relevant IT systems to register patients' arrival and make appointments as required.
- Support the administrative processes associated with a busy Doctors surgery.
- To answer telephone enquiries in an efficient manner and ensure appropriate follow through using initiative to deal with routine enquiries and referring complex queries to the relevant medical secretary.
- To undertake other clerical duties as requested.
- To recognise when situations need to be dealt with urgently, remain calm and action appropriately.
