Senior Legal Management Consultant – 12 month FTC
London
£90,000 – £120,000 PAYE depending on experience
A leading professional services firm, renowned for its expertise in complex, high-value transaction is seeking a Senior Legal Management Consultant. This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in enhancing the efficiency of legal service delivery through strategic planning, stakeholder engagement, and process optimisation. Initially a 12-month FTC, this role offers the potential for longer-term opportunities.
Key Responsibilities of the Senior Legal Management Consultant
- Manage end-to-end legal matters, ensuring streamlined delivery while identifying and implementing innovative approaches.
- Develop and maintain best-practice project management frameworks to enhance legal workflows.
- Partner with senior lawyers, clients, and external collaborators to scope projects, establish financial frameworks, allocate resources, and integrate suitable technologies.
- Lead project kick-offs, team briefings, and regular reviews to align workstreams with client expectations.
- Monitor budgets, optimise resource allocation, and drive efficiencies to maximise value.
- Assist with pitches and client presentations
- Deliver workshops and training sessions to embed Project Management principles across the firm and with clients.
Skills & Attributes of the Senior Management Consultant
- Significant experience in Legal Project Management, client-facing Project Management, or Management Consultancy, ideally within a law firm, legal management consulting or in-house legal function.
- A recognised Project Management qualification (e.g., PRINCE2, APM, PMP) is highly desirable.
- Strong ability to influence senior stakeholders, both internally and externally.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to challenge traditional ways of working and articulate the benefits of project management.
- A collaborative and proactive approach, with a problem-solving mindset and a drive for continuous improvement.
