Reporting to the Financial Controller, this role offers broad exposure across financial accounting, reporting, cash flow management, compliance, and business partnering activities across multiple European entities. Key Responsibilities- Financial Reporting & Controls - Prepare monthly accruals, prepayments and other accounting journals while reviewing profit and loss accounts and balance sheets to ensure accurate financial reporting across multiple entities.
- Management Information & Analysis - Produce monthly financial commentary, monitor business performance and margins, and deliver meaningful financial insights to support decision-making by senior stakeholders.
- Cash Flow & Treasury Support - Maintain cash flow reporting models and prepare regular cash flow forecasts and analysis to support effective financial planning and working capital management.
- Regulatory Compliance & Project Support - Assist with statutory reporting requirements, audit preparation and the implementation of evolving regulatory obligations, including environmental and cross-border compliance initiatives across European operations.
- Systems & Process Improvement - Utilise SQL, Excel and ERP systems to develop reporting capabilities, improve data accuracy, automate processes and support wider finance transformation initiatives.
- Accounting Experience - A minimum of five years' experience within a Management Accountant or similar finance role, with strong knowledge of financial accounting principles and reporting requirements.
- Professional Qualification - Part-qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA (or equivalent) with a commitment to continued professional development.
- Technical Capability - Advanced Excel and SQL skills together with experience of SAP or a comparable ERP platform.
- Analytical & Organised Approach - Strong attention to detail with the ability to analyse complex financial information, reconcile data accurately and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Relationship Building Skills - A proactive and self-motivated individual with excellent communication skills and the ability to build effective working relationships across finance and non-finance teams.
