We are currently recruiting for experienced Electricians to work on a major utilities and civil engineering project starting in Holsworthy, with work continuing across multiple infrastructure sites throughout the South West.
This role will involve carrying out electrical installation and maintenance works on utility and infrastructure projects, supporting site supervisors and project teams to ensure work is delivered safely, efficiently, and to specification. This is ongoing temporary contract work, with electricians moving between projects as work progresses across the region.
Key Responsibilities- Carry out electrical installation works on utility and civil engineering sites
- Install, maintain, and test electrical systems associated with infrastructure and utility projects
- Work from electrical drawings, site plans, and technical specifications
- Support the Electrical Supervisor and site management team
- Ensure all work is carried out in line with health & safety regulations and site procedures
- Participate in site inspections, testing, and commissioning activities
- Ensure electrical installations meet industry and project standards
- Assist with fault finding, repairs, and maintenance where required
- Maintain high standards of site safety and quality of work
- Proven experience working as an Electrician on construction, utilities, or infrastructure projects
- Experience working on civil engineering or utility installation sites
- Ability to work safely within site regulations and permit systems
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and specifications
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Willingness to travel between various sites across the South West
- EUSR Card (Essential)
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
- ECS / JIB Gold Card
- 2391 Testing & Inspection (preferred but not essential)
- Full UK Driving Licence
The project will initially start in Truro, with electricians required to travel to various utility and infrastructure sites across the South West as projects progress.
