Harbron Recruit is recruiting on behalf of a respected house builder for an experienced Assistant Site Manager to join a prestigious residential development in Newquay. This opportunity is ideal for someone with a minimum of 7 - 10 years' experience within the residential house-building sector.

Our client is looking for an individual who understands that building homes is about far more than simply completing plots; it's about delivering high-quality homes, maintaining exceptional workmanship throughout every stage of the build, and ensuring every property is completed to the highest standard before handover. Although this role is initially offered on a temporary basis, there is a genuine opportunity for a permanent position with the client for the right candidate.

The Role

Working closely with the Site Manager, you will assist in the day-to-day running of a busy residential development, ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently, on programme, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the day-to-day management of a live residential housing development.
  • Support the Site Manager in delivering high-quality new-build homes.
  • Supervise subcontractors and ensure works are completed to specification.
  • Monitor build quality throughout every stage of construction, identifying and resolving any issues before completion.
  • Coordinate daily site activities to ensure programmes are achieved.
  • Carry out plot inspections and quality assurance checks.
  • Maintain accurate site records, inspections, and progress reports.
  • Ensure excellent site presentation and housekeeping standards are maintained.
  • Assist with customer care and snagging where required.
