We are seeking an experienced and reliable Rigger / Slinger to provide topside support on a vessel operating within Brixham Harbour. The vessel will remain in harbour during the assignment; however, work will be carried out on the water, and candidates must be comfortable working in a marine environment. The successful candidate will have proven experience in rigging and slinging operations, supporting lifting activities and ensuring work is completed safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out rigging and slinging duties in support of lifting operations.
  • Provide topside support to the vessel and associated project activities.
  • Assist with the preparation, inspection and safe use of lifting equipment.
  • Follow all site safety procedures and lifting plans.
  • Work closely with the vessel crew and project team to ensure tasks are completed efficiently.
  • Maintain a safe and tidy working environment.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in rigging and slinging operations is essential.
  • Valid rigging and/or slinging qualifications/certification preferred.
  • Experience working within marine, harbour, construction or industrial environments.
  • Physically fit and capable of undertaking manual handling tasks in a demanding working environment.
  • Strong awareness of health and safety procedures.
  • Reliable, punctual and able to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Comfortable working on or around water.

Additional Information

  • Immediate start from Tuesday 30th June.
  • Initial contract duration of one week.
  • Potential for the assignment to be extended based on client requirements.
  • PPE and relevant certifications may be required prior to commencement.
  • Rate: £25.00 – £26.00 per hour (DOE).
  • Duration: On-going.
