We are recruiting for an experienced Mechanical Supervisor to support a major utilities and civil engineering project starting in Holsworthy, with ongoing work across multiple infrastructure sites throughout the South West.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise mechanical installation works on utilities and civil engineering projects
  • Manage and coordinate mechanical fitters, labourers, and subcontractors on site
  • Ensure works are carried out in line with project specifications and safety standards
  • Conduct site inspections and quality checks on mechanical installations
  • Work closely with site managers, project managers, and engineering teams
  • Ensure compliance with method statements, risk assessments, and permit systems
  • Monitor progress and assist with maintaining project timelines
  • Review technical drawings and mechanical installation plans
  • Coordinate materials, plant, and mechanical resources on site

Requirements

  • Proven experience working as a Mechanical Supervisor within utilities, infrastructure, or civil engineering projects
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical installations associated with utility infrastructure
  • Experience supervising site teams and subcontractors
  • Strong understanding of construction health and safety procedures
  • Ability to work across multiple project sites

Essential Qualifications

  • EUSR Card (Essential)
  • SSSTS or SMSTS
  • CSCS Card
  • Relevant Mechanical Qualification or NVQ
  • Full UK Driving Licence
