We’re Hiring – Fabricator / Welder
OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE: Fabricate and welding of mobile milling machines and perform repairs where necessary.
Key Responsibilities:
- Locate and mark bending and cutting lines onto work piece.
- Position, align, fit, preheat work pieces, and weld together parts.
- Fabricate and assemble sheet metal products.
- Bolt, clamp, and tack weld parts to secure in position for welding.
- Lay out, position, align and fit components together.
- Position and clamp together components of fabricated metal products preparatory to welding.
- Analyse diagrams and specifications and cut all metal accordingly.
- Evaluate finished products and perform quality checks on products.
- Assemble old units and perform modification and repair work if required.
Requirements:
- Experience in all types of welding.
- Ability to use a variety of tools and grinders.
- Attention to detail.
- Works well as part of a team and as an individual.
- Ability to operate heavy machinery, such as forklifts and cranes.
- Good organisational skills.
