This position will be a hybrid work arrangement. You will receive 18 remote workdays per quarter to use at your discretion, subject to manager approval. For example, you may choose to work in the office 4 days per week and take one remote day weekly (typically 13 weeks per quarter), leaving 5 additional remote days to be used as needed.

We are seeking to hire an individual possessing fund operations expertise to drive oversight of the evergreen funds. A fit for this role will contribute to growing HarbourVest’s evergreen offerings. They will engage closely with diverse in-house and external collaborator groups.

The ideal candidate is someone who is:

  • Has a range of experience across fund operations
  • Experience in private markets funds, in evergreen structures in particular
  • Highly skilled in change and collaborator management with ability to build positive relationships across the global organization
  • Execution focused with a proven track record in building robust and scalable processes
  • Able to consider multiple solutions and adapt approach to best meet cross-functional internal and external needs
  • Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment, balancing multiple competing demands and projects

What you will do:

  • Manage day-to-day operations of non-US based evergreen products. Ensure accurate and timely completion of fund routines such as cash management, credit facility, and depositary oversight.
  • Regulatory support including Annex IV, EMIR reporting, CSSF reporting, PRIIPS, and monitoring of future developments and needs in this area.
  • Governance support to prepare for board meetings, managing commercial agreements, working closely with legal.
  • Support product launches, new share class introductions, and platform onboarding from an operational and regulatory perspective.
  • Taking the lead in development/enhancements of current and future processes/infrastructure needs.
  • Partner with Investor Relations, Private Wealth and Product teams to support DDQs, ODD meetings, platform due diligence, and investor queries related to product operations and regulatory compliance.
  • Support the Portfolio Manager and investment specialist as needed to address ongoing needs of the products.
  • Oversight of 3rd party service providers from a product lens.
  • And other responsibilities as required.

What you bring:

  • Strong understanding of the mechanics and inter-dependencies of evergreen and/or private market funds.
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience of European regulatory and commercial landscape relating to private markets, experience with UCITS are a plus.
  • Strong written and oral English communication skills (other language skills nice to have).
  • Broad understanding of fund operations and governance.
  • Results oriented individual with organisation and analytical skills.
  • Comfortable working in an area that may not always have established precedents.
  • Understands the private wealth place including intermediary, platform, data vendor relationships.
  • Highly proficient with Microsoft, especially Excel and PowerPoint.

Education Preferred:

  • Degree or equivalent experience

Experience:

  • 10 + years proven experience in fund/product or investment operations or a related role within private markets (private credit, private equity), evergreen products or UCITS.
