Job Opportunity: Technical Specification Manager – Flat RoofingRole Summary:Embark on a strategically significant role as the Flat Technical Specification Manager, contributing to the growth of my client\’s Flat Roofing division. This entrepreneurial position involves creating new business demand, supporting preferred routes to market, and converting opportunities into orders. Your proactive and collaborative approach will be key in identifying and capitalizing on sales prospects.Main Responsibilities:Utilise a mixed approach to identify opportunities (Company-led, Internal, External).Act as a trusted advisor to architects, surveyors, contractors, and resellers, fostering mutually beneficial relationships.Conduct intrusive flat roof surveys, generating condition reports, specifications, and quotations.Focus on complete system sales opportunities for my client\’s Flat Roofing Solutions.Take ownership of decision-making in refurbishment markets for Flat roof sales.Commercial management of IMA Direct and IMA via reseller, with cradle-to-grave responsibility for IMA Contractor Opportunities.Deliver targets set by the Project Specification Manager and monitor through SAP Analytic reports.Support my client\’s construction and transactional teams through roofing contractor interaction and technical support.Contribute to area and channel sales strategy aligned with broader business needs.Provide CPD presentations to target customers and potential clients.Foster effective working relationships with Technical Specification Managers and Area Sales Managers.Essential Competencies, Skills, and Experience:Full UK or Irish Driving Licence.Able to obtain Basic DBS clearance.Desirable Competencies, Skills, and Experience:Business administration or construction-related qualification.Knowledge of the construction Specification industry.Familiarity with the product range.Understanding of manufacturing processes contributing to project quality.Experience in specifications management.Local market knowledge with strategic thinking capabilities.Ability to undertake intrusive roof surveys and write specifications.Ability to read and interpret architectural design drawings.Product-agnostic approach in finding roofing solutions.Package:Basic Salary: Up to £60Uncapped Bonus Scheme, OTE 40% of base salary – (top performers are earning over 100% on basic salary)Location: South London/Kent/Sussex25 days annual leave, PLUS bank holidays (increases over time)Company expensesLife assuranceEmployee assistance programLong service awardsIf this opportunity sounds of interest, please send over your CV and I look forward to jumping on a call to discuss further.Seniority level Seniority level Mid-Senior levelEmployment type Employment type Full-timeJob function Job function Sales and Business DevelopmentIndustries Wholesale Building Materials, Construction, and ManufacturingReferrals increase your chances of interviewing at Harbourne Associates by 2xSign in to set job alerts for \”Technical Sales Representative\” roles.
