We are currently recruiting for a market leading manufacturer in their field, employing over 1,000 people globally, with an excellent internal structure and significant growth. Due to that growth, they are looking to expand their teams with someone who is experienced in specification, proactive in their approach, and has experience within building materials.
Role:
- Develop and execute a territory sales strategy to achieve and exceed an annual target of approximately £1m turnover
- Proactively identify, target, and develop new contractor, distributor, and project opportunities
- Build strong relationships with contractors, specialist installers, and distribution partners
- Generate and convert specifications, including both spec generation and spec breaking activity
- Promote the full product portfolio
- Manage the full sales cycle from initial contact through to order placement and repeat business
- Maintain accurate sales forecasting and pipeline management
- Negotiate pricing and commercial terms within agreed frameworks
Candidate:
- Proven sales or business development experience in building materials or related building envelope products
- Existing contractor network within the territory
- Strong new business development capability
- Ability to work autonomously and manage a territory
- Specification sales experience
- Commercially strong, able to discuss targets, budgets, and margins
- Self-reliant, motivated, hands-on, and resilient
- Excellent presentation skills
- Self-motivated and results driven
- Able to build strong customer relationships
Package:
- Basic Salary: £55,000 - £62,000 (negotiable based on experience)
- Excellent bonus scheme (paid quarterly and annually)
