A tier 1 contractor is seeking an experienced Freelance Quantity Surveyor/Senior QS to support a busy and established highways framework on an ongoing rolling-contract basis. This is a long-term opportunity within a supportive, collaborative commercial team, offering flexibility, hybrid working and a strong pipeline of work.
- Commercial management across highways framework projects.
- Applications, valuations, variations and final accounts.
- Subcontract procurement and commercial management.
- Cost reporting and commercial support across live schemes.
- Proven contractor-side Quantity Surveying experience.
- Strong Highways experience essential.
- Familiarity with the specification for Highways Works and Method of Measurement for Highway Work ('Black Book').
- HNC, BSc or equivalent Quantity Surveying qualification.
£300-450 per day depending on experience. Flexible hybrid working arrangement. Ongoing rolling contract / long-term opportunity. This role would suit an experienced freelance QS or Senior QS looking for a long-term contract with flexibility, continuity and a strong working environment. Please note applicants must have an existing right to work in the UK, as sponsorship is not available for this contract role.
