A tier 1 contractor is seeking an experienced Freelance Quantity Surveyor/Senior QS to support a busy and established highways framework on an ongoing rolling-contract basis. This is a long-term opportunity within a supportive, collaborative commercial team, offering flexibility, hybrid working and a strong pipeline of work.
Role will include:
- Commercial management across highways framework projects.
- Applications, valuations, variations and final accounts.
- Subcontract procurement and commercial management.
- Cost reporting and commercial support across live schemes.
- Working closely with an experienced and approachable team.
Requirements:
- Proven contractor-side Quantity Surveying experience.
- Strong Highways experience essential.
- Experience working with schedule of rates and remeasurement.
- Familiarity with the specification for Highways Works and Method of Measurement for Highway Work ('Black Book').
- HNC, BSc or equivalent Quantity Surveying qualification.
- Able to work autonomously within a live framework environment.
On Offer:
