Head of Finance in Belfast

We are currently recruiting for a market leading clothing and workwear manufacturer in an exciting role to help grow and develop the company. The company has an excellent reputation in the industry and has a real family feel to the business. They are looking for someone with a strong finance background who enjoys being hands on, well structured, commercially aware and someone who wants to progress to the next level.

Role:

• Managing day-to-day financial operations
• Preparing and posting month-end journals including accruals and prepayments
• Producing timely monthly financial reports including Balance Sheet, P&L, variance and margin analysis
• Managing VAT returns and statutory submissions
• Developing and improving financial systems, processes and policies during a period of growth
• Leading the preparation for the annual external audit and ensuring deadlines are met
• Monitoring budgets and KPIs, investigating variances and making recommendations to support business performance

Candidate:

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• 5+ years’ experience in finance positions
• Proven experience managing or mentoring finance team members
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships across departments
• Experience using financial systems and reporting tools
• A proactive approach with the ability to improve processes and support business growth

Package:

• Basic Salary: £60,000 – £80,000 (negotiable for the right experience)
