Client:
Our client is the UK’s leading manufacture of indoor and outdoor cleaning equipment selling into a range of different industries which include logistics, retail and hospitality. The company were established over 40 years ago and employ over 12,500 people worldwide. They are known for the quality of the equipment they supply and are always at the forefront of cleaning machine technologies.
Role:
- To always operate at the highest professional and ethical standards.
- Creation and delivery of a contact strategy within local government and all contractors who supply or contract to the government sector.
- Take ownership for the co-ordination, completion and submission of all relevant tenders via our approved bid writer partner.
- Through the formulation of a personal strategic plan, identify all upcoming opportunities and Job Description ensure that wherever possible.
- Delivery of agreed annual revenue and margin targets.
- Maximise my client’s potential revenue by ensuring all product (outdoor and indoor) and service options are considered within all potential sales.
- Ensure successful renewal when applicable to ensure my client is seen as the supplier of choice.
- Maintain a strong knowledge of all products and services.
- Maintain a strong knowledge of all competitor products and service offerings and all key benefits that distinguish my client from those competitor products and services.
- You will schedule regular customer demonstrations which are fully supported by our demo team, but a willingness to get involved in driving and using our product is important.
- To develop an in-depth understanding of the designated territory and all likely current and future sales potential – detail opportunities on the fleet list and CRM.
- Customer decision making processes can vary drastically, you will need to be able to adapt to selling to everybody from operational teams to high level management and Councillors.
- Formulate an annual plan and quarterly activity view as a benchmark for success.
- Forecast in a timely manner and as required by the business.
- Proactively identify and develop total solutions for currently unrecognized needs within the local customer base and market sectors.
- To operate at all times within the Company’s policies and procedures and to ensure that decision-making, both commercial and tactical, is made at the correct level.
- Ensure the full utilisation of all available sales tools and to comply with required reporting policies and procedures at all times.
- Take responsibility for understanding and agreeing action plan for own development needs.
- Offer leadership in developing customer focus for other non-customer facing colleague.
Candidate:
- Proven track record of local authority’s at least 2-3 years’ experience.
- Hungry, tenacious, and comfortable with a longer sales cycle.
- Field based outbound sales style.
- Full clean driving license.

As my client is open to considering candidates outside of the industry, a full, comprehensive training scheme has been put in place to ensure you are comfortable with the product range and services they provide. You will also receive individual training on a yearly basis to help continuously improve your knowledge and skills.

Package:
Our client is looking for the right person to join their team and will pay a basic salary of up to £40k, bonus structure 40% of salary (20% at 6 months, 20% at 12 months if targets are achieved) fully expensed company car, phone, laptop, pension, holiday etc.
