Key Responsibilities
- Employee relations: manage ER and absence cases, including investigations, disciplinary, grievances, and performance improvement.
- Relationship management: build strong working relationships with internal stakeholders, external agencies, trade unions, and legal advisors.
- Safeguarding & recruitment: work with recruitment to ensure safeguarding procedures, DBS, and safer recruitment clearances.
- Policy & best practice: review HR policies and procedures to keep them in line with employment law and legal requirements.
- Data integrity: accurately update HR systems and provide timely reports to support strategic decision-making.

Essential Requirements
- Degree level education (or equivalent) with GCSE Grade C or equivalent in English and Maths.
- Proven experience working within an educational environment and a unionised setting.
- In-depth knowledge of employment law and safeguarding/safe recruitment principles.
- Experience handling complex ER cases and building professional relationships.
- Valid driving licence and access to a vehicle for travel across Trust sites.
- Commitment to safeguarding and the Harbour Learning Trust's DANCE values.
