Harbour is a bustling all day restaurant, bar and terrace specialising in seafood on Bristol’s floating harbour. We are seeking a passionate Assistant Restaurant Manager to join the team who bleeds hospitality.

The Role

As Assistant Restaurant Manager, you’ll help oversee the day-to-day running of the restaurant, lead shifts, support the team and ensure Harbour House operates to the highest standards at all times.

What We’re Looking For

  • A positive, energetic leader who leads by example
  • Experience in hospitality management (events and weddings are a plus)
  • A strong team coach with great people skills
  • Good understanding of budgets, rotas and business performance
  • Confident handling guests, including difficult situations
  • Strong wine, drinks and bar knowledge
  • Organised, reliable and comfortable working evenings, weekends and holidays
  • Solid understanding of health & safety and food safety standards

Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting the daily operation of Harbour House
  • Running and closing shifts, including cashing up and key holding
  • Training, motivating and developing the team
  • Assisting with staff rotas and labour control
  • Supporting events from planning through to delivery
  • Ensuring health & safety, food safety and cleanliness standards are met
  • Working closely with senior management and the kitchen team
  • Helping achieve weekly and monthly sales and profit targets
  • Creating a positive, fun and professional working environment
