We have a superb opportunity for a Sales Executive/Researcher to join our proactive sales team at Harbour Hotel Guildford. We are seeking a motivated individual to join our team on a part-time basis (24 hours per week ideally) at the Guildford Harbour Hotel. This part-time role is ideal for someone who enjoys building relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and contributing to the success of a busy hotel environment.
The ideal candidate will have a warm, personable manner and a positive, can-do attitude. You will be confident in engaging with clients, enjoy developing strong relationships, and possess excellent organisational skills. A proactive approach, along with a passion for achieving results, is essential. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are also required for this role.
Reporting into the Director of Sales, this brand-new role is to support proactive sales activities to drive new business and manage existing accounts and clients.
Key Responsibilities- Research and identify potential clients, partners, and business opportunities
- Support the sales team in generating leads and converting enquiries
- Maintain and update client databases and records
- Assist with outreach, including emails and calls to prospective clients
- Support marketing and promotional activities where required
- Previous experience in sales, hospitality, or a hotel environment is preferred
- Knowledge of Opera and Thynk, although full training will be given to the right candidate
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Good organisational and research skills
- Comfortable using email, spreadsheets, and basic office software
- Must be available to work on Fridays
