About the role
You will lead and manage the contracts team to ensure the efficient delivery and commercial oversight of improvement and maintenance contracts. This includes responsibility for day to day contract performance, ensuring all works are delivered safely, on schedule, and within agreed cost parameters. You will be part of the contract’s division, providing clear guidance and leadership to estimator/supervisors and administrators, fostering a collaborative, solutions-focused culture that promotes quality and continuous improvement. As a qualified Quantity Surveyor, you will lead the organisation’s cost modelling and tender activity, negotiate contract costs, and support procurement processes and contract framework development.
About you
- A formal/professional qualification in Quantity Surveying with a strong technical knowledge.
- Experience of procurement process.
- A track record of delivering programmes to agreed time, cost, quality, and safety KPIs.
- Significant experience in bidding activity, including preparing estimates, forecasts, and bills of quantities using recognised quantity surveying methodologies.
- Demonstrable experience of resolving complex contractual issues and influencing both internal and external stakeholders.
- An understanding of contract law and commercial contract administration.
