Harbour Healthcare – Regency Hall Care Home, The Carriage Dr, Hadfield SK13 1PJ.

Pay: £13 per hour, 40 hours per week.

About the Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic Head Housekeeper for our care home. The ideal candidate will not be required to have prior experience or qualifications; Harbour Healthcare will provide all necessary training and support. The role will involve maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene in residents’ private rooms and communal areas, ensuring linens are clean and safe, identifying potential fire or safety risks, and working collaboratively with other teams to protect residents’ well-being.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all resident rooms and communal living spaces are spotless and well presented.
  • Oversee linen handling and maintenance to guarantee comfort and hygiene.
  • Inspect premises for fire and safety hazards, coordinating with relevant staff to mitigate risks.
  • Support residents in daily living tasks and participate in activities such as arts and crafts, music and drama, gardening, shopping outings and social events.
  • Assist in planning and organizing special interest activities to foster residents’ health and well-being.
  • Lead and motivate housekeeping staff, ensuring adherence to cleanliness standards and company policies.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • No prior experience or formal qualifications required – Harbour Healthcare will provide comprehensive training.
  • Required: Enhanced DBS clearance for work with children and adults.
  • Strong communication skills, a keen eye for detail and a commitment to high standards of care.
