Overview
Kitchen Assistant at Harbour Healthcare Treetops Court Care Home - Park Road, Leek, Staffordshire ST13 8XP. Bank contract £12.21 per hour.
Responsibilities
- Ensuring the food preparation areas are clean and hygienic.
- Washing utensils and dishes and making sure they are stored appropriately.
- Sorting, storing and distributing ingredients.
- Disposing of rubbish.
- Organising sufficient supply of laundry cloths.
- Cleaning the food preparation equipment, floors and other kitchen tools or areas.
- Assisting and executing various kitchen duties such as ensuring cleaning schedules are adhered to.
- When required, assisting in preparation and serving of all meals.
- Ensuring equipment supplied is used with care, in accordance with suppliers’ instructions and training.
- Ensuring all equipment is in good working order and reporting any faults immediately.
- Supporting the delivery and serving of food, if required.
- Understanding the specific diets identified as required by Service users and sharing any dietary concerns with the chef.
- Being clean, hygienic and well presented at all times.
