Overview

Kitchen Assistant at Harbour Healthcare Treetops Court Care Home - Park Road, Leek, Staffordshire ST13 8XP. Bank contract £12.21 per hour.

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring the food preparation areas are clean and hygienic.
  • Washing utensils and dishes and making sure they are stored appropriately.
  • Sorting, storing and distributing ingredients.
  • Disposing of rubbish.
  • Organising sufficient supply of laundry cloths.
  • Cleaning the food preparation equipment, floors and other kitchen tools or areas.
  • Assisting and executing various kitchen duties such as ensuring cleaning schedules are adhered to.
  • When required, assisting in preparation and serving of all meals.
  • Ensuring equipment supplied is used with care, in accordance with suppliers’ instructions and training.
  • Ensuring all equipment is in good working order and reporting any faults immediately.
  • Supporting the delivery and serving of food, if required.
  • Understanding the specific diets identified as required by Service users and sharing any dietary concerns with the chef.
  • Being clean, hygienic and well presented at all times.
