Kitchen Assistant Responsibilities
- Ensure food preparation areas are clean and hygienic.
- Wash utensils and dishes, storing them appropriately.
- Sort, store and distribute ingredients.
- Dispose of rubbish.
- Organise sufficient supply of laundry cloths.
- Clean food preparation equipment, floors and other kitchen tools or areas.
- Assist and execute various kitchen duties adhering to cleaning schedules.
- Assist in preparation and serving of all meals when required.
- Use equipment with care in accordance with suppliers\’ instructions and training.
- Maintain all equipment in good working order and report any faults immediately.
- Support delivery and serving of food when required.
- Understand specific diets dictated for Service users and share any dietary concerns with the chef.
- Be clean, hygienic and well presented at all times.
