Overview
Harbour Healthcare seeks a HR Business Partner to join the People Team.
The role supports compliance with regulations, drives continuous improvement, and develops organisational culture and leadership capability across Harbour Healthcare.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the company complies with current regulations, professional standards, policies and procedures, and legislation (including data protection, the Equality Act, and health and safety).
- Drive the continuous improvement agenda with a focus on engagement and welfare activities, maximise productivity, devolve HR responsibilities to line managers, and build leadership capability.
- Support transforming and strengthening the organisational culture; ensure that the company values and approach are demonstrated.
- Provide professional support and advice to transform and develop the organisation; enable managers to access guidance and information to manage workforce issues.
- Support the development of effective employment policies across Harbour Healthcare, in consultation with senior managers and staff as appropriate.
- Coach, mentor and support staff to identify strengths and development needs, while championing a culture of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI).
- Design and develop HR training programs for management and employees to incorporate best practice and lessons learned into program plans.
- Consult with management on performance, organisational and leadership matters; conduct needs assessments to determine measures to enhance employee performance and overall company performance.
- Lead by example to deliver Harbour Healthcare values professionally; foster strong working relationships with team members, the company, and clients.
- Regularly coach, mentor and support regional managers and high-potential colleagues to identify strengths, develop relationships, and support retention; attend team meetings with stakeholders to improve communications.
- Support a robust up-skilling program where gaps are identified.
- Ensure managers are developing their teams to deliver safe care and support regional teams accordingly.
- Collaborate with support office departments to ensure the employee journey is delivered in a timely manner.
- Champion Harbour Healthcare as the employer of choice and support the HR team to resolve concerns and complaints promptly; identify early potential loss or poor service delivery.
- Work with the Senior Regional Team on continual improvement of quality systems and processes to develop a better service; provide expert advice and support through proactive risk management; guide colleagues accordingly.
- Ensure all HR-related policies, procedures and documentation are implemented effectively across Harbour Healthcare.
Qualifications
- Completed or working towards a CIPD Level 5 (or equivalent).
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements, legislation, guidance and best practice in line with CQC.
- Experience of writing policies and procedures (desirable).
- Enhanced DBS check required for Children and Adults.
