Overview

As Care Home Clinical Deputy Manager at Harbour Healthcare, you\’ll support the delivery of the quality care we’re known for. Working closely with the Home Manager and taking on leadership duties in their absence, you’ll help with ensuring care standards, motivating your team, and developing strategies to deliver the best possible quality of life for residents. You’ll lead by example, monitor standards through regular audits, supervised clinical practice, and checking regulatory compliance.

About You

To join us as a Care Home Deputy Manager & Clinical Lead, you’ll need to be a Registered Nurse (RN/RMN) with current NMC registration and mentoring/supervision experience. Experience in helping residents with different health needs is important, as is a successful track record of managing safeguarding investigations and clinical risk assessments. You should have an understanding of person-centred care and positive behavioural support. You’ll be compassionate, resilient, and determined to deliver quality care in our engaging and energetic environment.

Role Overview

  • Monitoring standards of care delivered by all staff.
  • Supporting the Home Manager with policy implementation and business objectives.
  • Preparing staff rotas to ensure optimal staffing levels.
  • Monitoring residents’ wellbeing and ensuring care plans are up to date.
  • Acting as a focal point for residents, families, and healthcare professionals, addressing concerns and ensuring high standards of care.
  • Hours: 44 hours per week, including weekends on a rota, working on the floor and supernumerary days.

Qualifications

  • Strong leadership skills with a highly motivated approach.
  • Contribute to a culture of ownership and shared learning.
  • Be highly organised and detail-oriented, with excellent written and verbal skills.
  • Substantial experience working with dementia care.
  • Valid NMC PIN and RGN / RMN qualification.
