Job description

Cover all aspects of garden maintenance and soft landscaping.

Duties will include

  • Grass cutting
  • Weeding
  • Pruning
  • Seasonal planting
  • Hedge cutting
  • Garden clearance
  • Strimming
  • Use of grass cutters and other machinery.
  • Implement actions to meet and maintain standards.
  • Systematically solve day-to-day problematical issues which arise..
  • Routine maintenance such as litter collection and sweeping.
  • Report and action any known defects to appliances, damaged furniture / equipment and any other potential hazards to the Home Manager, who will advise accordingly.
  • Ensure the exterior of the Nursing Home is always clean and presentable.
  • Keep any sheds, outbuildings and areas clean and tidy.
  • Clear snow and grit the drive, paths and any areas to which Clients, Visitors or Staff Members have access.

Person specification

  • Must have full UK driving license
  • Previous gardening experience is essential
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Plant knowledge,

  • Be able to work under your own supervision and as part of a team
