Help shape and deliver the vision for Harborough District's future. Harborough District is situated in rural south Leicestershire and includes a wealth of heritage and substantial prospective growth areas.
We are growing our Strategic and Local Planning Team and looking to recruit an enthusiastic and dedicated Local Plan Project Officer to join us. The postholder will join the team at an exciting time and will play a key role in preparing the next Local Plan.
You will support the project management of the Local Plan preparation and have an opportunity to get involved in a range of exciting projects preparing future policy to help deliver the scale of growth required, influencing projects from the beginning.
You will need to be a team player with a 'can – do' approach; committed to meeting challenging targets and ensuring project management principles are applied. To succeed, you'll have a planning or related degree, together with experience of working on projects within a local authority planning department. You will have first class organisational and communication skills and the ability to engage effectively with key stakeholders. You will need to be able to occasionally attend meetings and events out of normal office hours, with notice.
