Hours: 19 hours per week (Monday 9.30am to 4pm, Thursday 9.30am to 4pm and Friday 9am to 5pm)

Salary Grade 3 – Full-time £26,403 to £27,254 (pro rata)

As a member of the Customer Services Team, dealing with a range of enquiries about Council services, you will play a key role within the team in providing excellent customer service to our customers. Our Customer Services Team provides the important front line “one stop” service through various channels of communication such as contact centre telephony, meeting with customers through pre-booked appointments, engaging with customers through website/web chats, emails and social media.

If you are someone who enjoys working with people, who is enthusiastic, has excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal), along with the desire to work within a busy and challenging work environment to deliver an outstanding customer experience, please join our Customer Services Team.

Applicants must have experience of working within a customer service environment, have excellent customer service skills including interpersonal, numeracy and literacy. It is essential that you are able to be flexible to ensure we continue to meet the needs of our customers.

This post is based primarily at The Symington Building in Market Harborough. The Council operates an agile working policy, which will enable the advisors to work from home from time to time, dependent on the needs of the business. Your hours of work are full time 19 hours per week on a pre agreed rota basis to meet the needs of the business. Rotas are subject to review and can be varied with reasonable notice. The service operates Monday to Friday.
