We are looking for a fully qualified Environmental Health Practitioner to join our small dynamic team. Enforcing food hygiene and health and safety legislation in a wide range of premises, you will be required to carry out statutory inspections, and targeted interventions employing the full range of enforcement tools where necessary. In addition, you will investigate complaints and workplace accidents and conduct outbreak investigations. Offering advice and support to businesses is equally important.
You must be a keen, self-motivated person who can work well as part of a busy team. You will need to be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills and use your initiative to carry out your duties effectively. You will be appropriately qualified with a Degree or Diploma in Environmental Health and be registered with the Environmental Health Officer’s Registration Board, or the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health. Your current competencies will include being able to carry out the full range of food hygiene interventions in line with the FSA’s code of Practice.
You must have a driving licence and be able to work outside office hours on occasion.
